It’s that time of the year; the “best of 2017 list”.
2017 has been a great year in terms of good food; the Cairo restaurant scene has given us plenty of restaurants to choose from which is why it took us a long time to narrow the list down to the top 10. Many local chains have opened and succeeded in opening new branches all around Cairo. The restaurants that have made our list were chosen not only for their delicious food, but because the service and atmosphere played a crucial role in their overall dining experience. Scroll down to see CairoNightlife’s 10 best restaurants of the year.

When it comes to the “best of 2016” list, we can’t not include Mince in the list – it just wouldn’t make sense. The burger joint bandwagon goes on and on as the burger cravings in Cairo never seem to die. So when you think of burgers in Cairo, you think of Mince. Not only are the burgers exceptionally good, but their appetizers and desserts are to die for. Two words: the Elvis.

A Latin American cuisine, Tabla Luna serves an incredible selection of contemporary and classical dishes of Peru, Ecuador, Argentina, Mexico and Bolivia. The décor is hip, service is stellar and flavors are authentic. Its steak is one of the best we’ve ever had.

8.Olivo Pizza Bar

Cairo is now filled with famous steakhouses which makes Charwood’s a genuinely welcome addition to the steakhouse family. We wish there were more branches from this one particular restaurant – we’ve craving their Tenderloin steak as we speak!
10.Gigi Burger Bar
Locations: Arkan Plaza, Sheikh Zayed
We’ve talked about burger places and pizza places. However, Gigi Burger Bar has both items on the menu and both taste delicious. It’s a total win. The most memorable thing about dining there? It’s that you get to customize your own burger. Sweet!
